I would like to acquaint you with our reservation service by answering some questions
commonly asked by those unfamiliar with the services we provide.
What is Mi Casa Su
Casa? Mi Casa Su Casa is a reservation service representing traditional Bed and
Breakfast Host Homes and B&B Inns in Arizona and the bordering states of New Mexico,
Utah, Nevada and Southern California. We also list one villa in Spain and one villa in
Mexico, as well as a few ranches and condos. You will sometimes find is listed under out
alternate name,
Advance Reservations Inn Arizona/Mi Casa Su Casa.
Why use a reservation
service? The office staff will try to find the B&B that fits your
requirements. They know each property and are familiar with what they offer. They make the
phone calls to check availability. Host Home B&Bs often do not advertise and are
available only through a reservation service.
Why choose one of our B&Bs?Our properties are as unique as their owners. Stay
in
a picture-perfect Victorian, a Spanish style hacienda or a charming, quaint B&B Inn.
Wherever you choose to stay, you will find a clean, comfortable place with gracious
hospitality. Our hosts are friendly, interesting people who enjoy sharing their B&B
and community with others.
What is a Host Home? Different
from a B&B Inn, a traditional B&B is a private home hosted by the owners. The
hosts are proud to offer attractive accommodations in nice surroundings and will treat you
as a welcome house guest. You will get an insider's view of the area, and receive tips
about good restaurants, places to shop and tourist attractions.
Hosts respect their guests'
privacy. Guests have their own key for coming and going through the host's front door.
Generally, the rooms have private baths; occasionally, a few baths are shared with one
other room. (We ask guests their choice.)
Some host B&Bs have a suite
or separate guest cottage that have their own entrance separate from the owners. When you
have your own kitchen in a suite or cottage, breakfast may be stocked, so that your
schedule is your own.
How does a host home
differ from a Bed & Breakfast Inn? A host home usually has one to four guest
rooms. An Inn might have four to thirty rooms and is usually run by the owner with
the assistance of a staff. The owner most often lives on the premises as well, but the
majority of the space is devoted to guest use. Some Inns are ideal for small retreats and
meetings.
The breakfast - The
breakfast menu will vary according to each host, as will the time of serving. Some hosts
prepare luscious gourmet recipes, others serve regional dishes, and some might offer a
continental-plus breakfast which might have breads, muffins, cereals, fruit, juice, hot
beverages. If you have special dietary needs, please let the reservation service know, or
tell the host prior to arrival if possible.
Are the accommodations
non-smoking? An outside area is generally available for our smoking guests.
For those who have
chemical allergies - We list hosts who have wood or tile floors, do not use
perfumed soaps or cleaners, and do not use chemical pesticides.
Where are the B&Bs?
They are in country settings or in the heart or edge of cities. Some are found in forested
mountains or the desert, near lakes, rivers, birding, hiking, skiing. Several are near
National Parks. We invite you to browse through our descriptions. You will find a variety
of inviting and unusual accommodations in our listings!
One of our award winning
listings in Bernalillo, near Albuquerque, New Mexico was originally built in 1772 and is
noted for its delightful Southwestern ambiance. In southern Arizona, a B&B Inn in
Benson is for sky watchers; it has an observatory and planetarium as well as a nature walk
to the San Pedro River. Horseback riding into the National Saguaro Park is offered by a
guest ranch-resort in Tucson. In Utah, one B&B has picture windows in each guest room
with views of Bryce National Park. In Page, Arizona, a hostess will help you make reservations to
go on boat rides on Lake Powell to the Rainbow Bridge. In Las Vegas, Nevada, you can stay
in a quiet historic residential area two miles form the strip. In San Diego, we list
B&Bs a few minutes from the beach and tourist attractions.
When you have made your
selection, please send us your reservation or request. We would consider it a
privilege to find you a "home away from home" in the marvelous Southwest.
