Surrounded by orange and vermilion mesas and bluffs, this area was settled during the Civil War and here the state's first Mormon Temple was built.  An ideal starting point for trips to natural treasures, it is home to numerous historic sites and  the Tuacahn Amphitheatre and Center for the Arts, offering original and Broadway productions in a large outside theater.

In the Historic District of St. George, this B&B consists of  two homes decorated with antiques, one a 2-story 1873 Colonial, the other a 3-story 1883 Victorian Colonial. Area activities and attractions include skiing, Zion, Bryce, 10 golf courses, and tennis courts. Thirteen rooms and a cottage, each have private bath (4 with whirlpool), TV (some with VCR), and phone. Most rooms have queen beds, some have additional twins. Other amenities may include fireplace, sitting area, or balcony. Seasonal pool. Full breakfast included and tea room open with reservation for lunch and high tea. Children welcome, cribs available. No smoking, pets possible. Seasonal $85-$250, Third guest in room add $15.  Ask about dinner and golf packages, and spa services.
