Nestled between the between the beautiful red Patagonia mountains and the majestic Santa Rita Mountains, the "Jewel of the Sonoita Valley" offers small town charm and a moderate year-round climate.  A diversity of cuisine and arts are found at the shops, galleries and restaurants, and historic buildings are sprinkled throughout town.  Internationally known as a premier bird watching destination, outdoor enthusiasts enjoy extraordinary birding as well as hiking and horseback riding.  The Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Sanctuary preserves a riparian forest where year-round water attracts more than 275 species of birds, plus other wildlife.  Patagonia Lake State Park offers water recreation, fishing and bird watching in the Sonoita Creek State Natural Area. There are also tours of the nearby ghost towns.

Near 4th Street and Duquesne Ave. This historic adobe inn has been restored into four charming accommodations, each with a private entrance.  The terraced back yard has two patios, flowering plants, birds, as well as a wonderful view of the Patagonia Mountains.   It is within walking distance of dining and shopping in the town square,  the Nature Conservancy bird sanctuary, and is a 20 minute drive to Nogales. Three suites each have a  sitting room with twin beds, a bedroom with a queen bed and private full bath. The studio has a queen bed, TV, kitchenette and shower. Full breakfast. Children welcome, smoking outside, no pets. $110 per night includes tax.  Additional guests $25 each.

Near Hwy. 82 and Cross Creek Rd. This charming country cottage, "The Cross Creek Cottage", is  adjacent to the Patagonia Nature Conservancy bird sanctuary, is remote and quiet, yet easy walking distance from town. On 22 acres of ancient pine trees, it is very near endless hiking in the Coronado National Forest, boating at Patagonia Lake, and the Sonoita Elgin wine country. It has a full kitchen and living room with wood stove and satellite TV. There are two small bedrooms, one with queen bed and one with two twin beds, and a full hall bath. Continental breakfast is stocked for the first morning, then self-catering. Children welcome, no smoking, pets possible. $110/night, add $20 per extra guest. Weekly $660, monthly $2,550. Plus tax.

On 22 acres of ancient pine trees, it is very near endless hiking in the Coronado National Forest, boating at Patagonia Lake, and the Sonoita Elgin wine country. It has a sitting room with twin bed, a large divided room with a queen bed in one half of the room, a full kitchen in the other half.  There is a  full hall bath.  For heating, there is a wood stove and electric heaters. Continental breakfast is stocked for the first morning, then self-catering. Children welcome, no smoking, pets possible. $110/night, add $20 per extra guest.  $660/week,  $2,250/month.  Plus tax.
