Bed and Breakfast and Lodging Reservation Service

Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas began as a desert oasis Mormon settlement, and briefly boomed during a silver mining rush. It again grew rapidly during the construction of the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River, and in 1931 its course was set with the legalization of gaming. Ever since that time, it has been known for its adult-themed recreations, though recently it has expanded with much more family-oriented entertainments. It has also become known for the COMDEX high-technology fair among many other conventions held in the city.
