Established in the early 1900's by the tire company for the purpose of growing Egyptian cotton, a component of tires, area activities in this residential community include several golf courses.  Estralla Mountain Regional Park, almost 20,000 acres of rugged desert, offers a golf course and riding trails, and plays host to rodeo and equestrian events year-round.

Located near Indian Springs Rd. and 133rd Ave., this Spanish Hacienda and guest house is on a large piece of property in the country near seven golf courses and the 18,000 acre Estrella Park. Family oriented hosts enjoy cooking, travel, and languages. All four accommodations have private shower bath, fridge, and TV/VCR. One room has queen bed, another a queen and a twin. The very large third room with kitchenette and the two room cottage with full kitchen each sleep four. Seasonal diving pool. Two-night minimum preferred on weekends. Smoking outside, children welcome, pets negotiable. Continental plus. $95-120, add $15 per additional guest.  Weekly/monthly rates available.
