Espanola, New Mexico

Founded in 1598, Espanola was the first capital of New Mexico. It became a trading center in the 1870s when a narrow-gauge railroad was built, the "Chili Line", running to Colorado. Espanola is centrally located to several of the eight Northern Indian Pueblos, including Nambe, Pojoaque, San Ildefonso, San Juan, and Santa Clara, the Mission of Tesuque, Picuris, an Taos. It is also near Santa Cruz Lake.

This home with beautiful views of Black Mesa was built high on a hill bordering the Santa Clara Indian Reservation, and is central to ski resorts and Indian Pueblos as well as an easy drive to Santa Fe and Taos. It is five minutes from the beautiful new Black Mesa Golf Club. Two rooms each have TV and private bath with tub/shower. Room 1 has a king bed and Room 2 has a queen bed. Guests enjoy the sun deck, hot tub and afternoon refreshments. Full breakfast featuring New Mexico specialties. Smoking restricted, no pets, no children. $90.
