Settled in 1905, Blanding borders some of the region's most dramatic canyon country.  Of interest are the Dinosaur Museum, the 100-mile loop Trail of the Ancients with its Anasazi Indian ruins, Edge Of The Cedars State Park, Hovenweep National Monument, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and Natural Bridges National Monument.  Local trading posts offer American Indian arts and crafts.
