Welcome to this newly
built "house of joy", nestled in a charming historic community where country
life is being preserved. In a quiet, peaceful setting, it is walking distance from good
restaurants in the historic district, and just minutes away from a shopping mall, movie
theaters, Mexican and Indian markets, hiking, gambling casinos, golfing and more. Area
highlights include the annual Balloon Festival extravaganza in October, Indian Pueblos,
plus skiing and hiking in the Sandia Mountains. For bird watchers there is the Bosque del
Apache where thousands of migrating birds rest every winter, two- hours drive away. Or you
might be inspired by the heated spa, fragrant flowers and plants, trees, bird
bath/fountain, comfortable chairs and a hammock to simply relax and enjoy a lovely view of
the mountains. Location:
Near Corrales Rd. and Old Church Rd.
Amenities: The three guest suites share a private courtyard and gardens on the
Northwest wing of the house, and are furnished with very comfortable queen size beds,
small armoires, kiva fireplaces and private baths with closet. A twin bed can be added to
the Coyote and Roadrunner rooms. Each room has its own cooling system and saltillo floors
with in-floor radiant heat. The Roadrunner Room ($99) has a shower, the Coyote Room ($109)
has a tub and shower, and the Jack Rabbit Room ($99) is wheelchair accessible with a wide
shower stall and seat.
Host interests: Reading, travelling, woodworking, horseback riding
Rates: $99-109 plus tax. Add $20 per each extra guest. Five nights or more, 10%
discount. Seniors (over 62 years) 10% discount. One discount given at a time. November,
January and February off season: 10% off regular rates. Rates go up during the Balloon
Fiesta: The first full week of October, from Saturday of that week to Sunday of the next
week.
Breakfast: Full, served in the Gathering Room, in the courtyard or portal depending
on personal preference and weather. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with
prior arrangement.
Pets on property: 2 dogs, not allowed inside the house.
Maximum number of guests: 8
Restrictions: Children of all ages welcome. Smoking outside only, no pets.
Deposit: Prepayment of one night or 50% on stays of 3 nights or more is required.
Payment can be made by credit card or by mailing a check to the hostess'. Balloon Fiesta
reservations require a non-refundable deposit of total cost.
Cancellation Policies: If notified 3 days or more prior to arrival date 90% of the
deposit will be refunded. Guests who cancel less than 3 days before arrival date forfeit
their deposit unless we are able to re-book the room(s).
Minimum stay: 1 night
Check in: 4-7 p.m. or as arranged
Check out: 11 a.m.
Handicapped possible: Wheelchair accessible. Also, see description of the Jack
Rabbit room.
