Aravaipa Creek runs through this 300-acre wilderness retreat in the high Sonora desert. It is adjacent to the Federal Wilderness Preserve in Aravaipa Canyon, ranked as one of the world's best bird watching locations and one of Arizona's best hiking destinations. You will see an abundance of wildlife here, home to over 400 species of fish, mammals and birds. Featured in Sunset Magazine, it is a working orchard farm and commercial jam-canning kitchen. The charming burnt adobe ranch house and five guest casitas hold a veritable museum of folk art and reflect the area's history as home to Geronimo and the Apaches, pioneer homesteaders, Basque Angora sheepherders and old west cattlemen. Picnic by the creek that fronts the property, bring your paints, or simply relax and enjoy the desert.
The proprietor has acquired the adjoining ranch with corrals and pastures. Guests may bring their horse and ride in the beautiful canyon. Inquire about rates for horse boarding.

Most cell phones are unable to send or receive a signal inside the canyon - a telephone is located at the main house.
