to the University of Arizona and downtown Tucson. Ideal for hikers,
there is a hiking trail on the property. It is 3 miles to the Bear
Canyon trailhead leading to Sabino Canyon with many trails and 4 miles
to trails in Saguaro National Park East. About an hours drive away are
Madera Canyon and the San Pedro Riparian Area, both world-renown
birding destinations. There is a pool for seasonal swimming.

There are two
main-house rooms with TV/VCR, and private baths. These rooms share a
library with a phone, Internet access, CDs, shelves of books and a
large video selection.
The
Sabino Room is reminiscent of Spain with a brass queen bed,
hand-painted furniture, and a stained glass window. The bath features
marble-tiled shower and a ceramic pedestal sink made by a local
artist.
The
Saguaro Room has a feel of the Old West with a queen bed handcrafted
of pine and saguaro ribs, original Western art, private courtyard and
full bath in the hall.

Two
separate guest houses each have terraces with views of the Catalina
Mountains, TV/VCR, private phones and internet access.
The
Santa Ana is 700-square-feet consisting of living room area with a
desk in a study nook, and a fully appointed kitchenette with
refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The bedroom loft
has a queen bed and views of the Catalina and the Rincon Mountains.
Colorful Mexican tile accents the kitchen and the full bathroom. The
patio has an entrance to the courtyard oasis and pool.
The
Catalina is 840-square-feet beautifully furnished with original art,
and has an eat-in kitchen with refrigerator, countertop range and
microwave. There is a pullout sleep sofa (for one), sofa and love seat
in the first floor living room. The large upstairs bedroom has a queen
bed and outdoor balcony. The spacious Mexican tiled bathroom has a
walk-in shower. The covered patio has an outside eating area.
Host
interests: He is an
avid wildlife photographer and business consultant. She authors
children’s books. Both enjoy hiking, nature, good food, conversation
and the arts.

Sabino Room $125, Saguaro Room $135, Santa Ana $155, Catalina $175.
Two-night minimum stay preferred, add $20 for one-night stay. Add
$20/night for 3rd person in Catalina. There is a 10%
discount for stays of 7 days or longer in the main-house rooms.

Deposit
and Cancellation Policies: Pre-payment
of 50% of the total required at time of reservation. The balance is
due to the host in cash or travelers checks upon arrival (or by credit
card if host accepts them).

cards. Reservations may be held with a credit card number, pending
receipt of a check, if this method of deposit is preferred.
For
a refund of deposit, cancellation notice must be received 14 or more
days prior to arrival date. All cancellations are subject to a $50.
service charge. For stays during high season, holidays or special
events, or for stays of a week or more, cancellation must be
received 30 days prior to arrival date.
