This luxurious guesthouse is listed as one of "Arizona's Best B&B's" in the May 2003 issue of Phoenix Magazine. Nestled in the Catalina Mountain foothills on an extra large lot, it is ideal for special occasions, birthdays, and romantic nights. With mountain views of spectacular sunrises and sunsets, it is located across from the main house, adjacent to the seasonal swimming pool, hot tub, and tropical garden with a waterfall. Guests meet in the Great Room mornings for the breakfast buffet and evenings around the fireplace for conversation with other guests. Fifteen minutes from I-10 and Tucson International Airport. Sabino Canyon, DeGrazia Art Museum, fine dining, shopping, the University of Arizona and other Tucson sites are easily reached from this location. Garage parking is available.
Location: Near River Road and Swan Road
Amenities: Four comfortable guest suites, 3 in the guesthouse
and 1 in the main house, each have a private entrance, private shower
bath, telephone, television, and patio or balcony.
In the guesthouse, the two upper level suites are on either side of
the Great Room with vaulted ceilings, fireplace, microwave,
refrigerator, and views of the courtyard, the hot tub in the garden
and the mountains. The
Ironwood Suite ($140) has queen bed and mountain views, and the Palo
Verde Suite ($140) has a king or two twins, huge shower, and views of
the courtyard from the balcony. The lower level suite, the Mesquite
($140), has a king or two twin beds and a queen hide-a-bed. There is a
full kitchen on the first floor.
In the main house, the Willow Suite ($225) has a queen bed and
a whirlpool tub.
Host interests: One innkeeper enjoys biking, hiking, gardening,
and home improvement projects. The other innkeeper enjoys sewing,
swimming, ballroom dancing, and hiking.
Rates: $140-$225, $10 less for singles. Add $20 for each
additional guest.
Breakfast: Continental plus. Special diets or preferences are
accommodated.
Pets in home: A cat live in the main house and do not go in the
guest house.
Maximum number of guests: 10
Minimum stay: 1 night
Restrictions: No pets, smoking outdoors only, supervised
children 8+ welcome (age exceptions are made if they are good
swimmers).
Deposits: Deposit equal to the cost of the greater of two (2)
nights or fifty per cent (50%) of the total charge for the visit
required at the time reservation is made. Unpaid balances are due in
full at check-in.
Cancellations: If cancellation occurs 14 or more days prior to
arrival, the deposit will be refunded minus a $25 service charge.
Within the 14-day period, the deposit minus $25 will be refunded only
if we are able to re-rent the accommodations for the entire period of
your reservation. Gem Show and Holiday weekends require 60 days
notification to receive a refund.
