In the shadow of mountains, beneath a canopy of cottonwood trees, surrounded by mesquite and fragrant acacia trees and an array of native cacti, this comfortable and elegant ranch home welcomes you. Located 35 minutes north of Tucson, this unique B&B offers visitors a rich blend of the cultures, music, literature, and cuisine of the Southwest. Your singular experience begins with the view. Beyond the city lights, thousands of acres of state and national forest land stretch from the property edge across lush desert foothills to the peaks of the Santa Catalinas. Rewarding the watchful, there might be glimpses of coyotes, javelina, deer, bobcats, red-tail hawks and rabbits. Many varieties of birds can be seen at their feeders.
Available in the vicinity are: desert tours, guided hiking, stables, Biosphere II, birding, and Mt. Lemmon which offers a variety of environments from the saguaro studded landscape of the desert to thick pine forests. There are a variety of restaurants in the area, one with live music for country western dancing.

Location:
Near Oracle Road and Mountainaire
Amenities: Guests are welcome to use the living room with comfortable leather sofas as they explore a Southwestern library of books, or borrow from the collection of regional and entertainment videos and CDs.
All three delightfully decorated guest rooms have ceiling fans, cable TV, and VCRs and cozy bathrobes. Top-of- the-line "pillow top" king-sized beds are made up with feather pillows and luxurious linens. Each room has a large wall painting by the Southwest artist, D. Lawrence West, depicting the life of the cowboy, the Spanish hacienda, or the Indian pueblo.
The "Bunk House" ($139) (can sleep four) is a spacious western style room. There is a loft with a queen size futon and a private bath with tub, shower and double sinks. The room's large window looks out on an oasis of mesquite and cottonwood trees where quail and rabbits feed throughout the day. Just beyond are the horse corrals, with a backdrop of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
The "Hacienda" has the mystique of Old Mexico.. dream of legends and romance. The wall painting shows a sleepy village where shadowy figures of townspeople are "waiting for Pancho Villa."
The "Pueblo" brings to mind the four corners region of the desert Southwest. Rich in the lore of ancient tribes, this area evokes the mysteries of the past.
The Hacienda ($109) and the adjacent room, the Pueblo ($109) share a hall bath that has a whirlpool tub with an array of mineral salts and bath foams. Or, if guests prefer a private bath, they can choose either the Hacienda or the Pueblo ($139) and no guest will be booked in the other room.
