Mountain Gaited horse breeding ranch offers a cozy home environment, privacy and beautiful public lands for riding your own horses. Forty five miles from Tucson, Sonoita sits on a 5,000-foot grassland plateau among over 20 mountain ranges featuring gorgeous landscapes, ideal weather and amazing opportunities for hiking, biking and riding. Located on a major bird migratory path, there are 4 premier riparian reserves nearby. Area attractions include Kartchner Caverns, the Mexico border, Saguaro National Park, Tombstone, the artist community of Tubac and Colossal Cave. Horse boarding is available. Ideal for small retreats and conferences.
Amenities: Four charming guest rooms, each with private bath, are located in a separate, renovated guest house decorated with antiques and period pieces. Two rooms have king bed, one with full bath and one with ¾ bath. There are also a room with two twin beds and full bath, and a room with a double and a twin bed and full bath. There is no TV or telephone to disturb the peace and quiet. The guest house comes complete with a living/dining/kitchen great room, fireplace, and two patios with mountain and sunset views, perfect for stargazing.
There is also an apartment available with a two-night minimum. It has a queen bedroom, full bath, kitchenette, small dining and sitting room, and outside table and grill. Pets are negotiable in the apartment. It is available for longer stays. Call for long-term rates.
Host interests: Horses, travel, reading, he bikes.
Rates: Guest rooms $90/room/night, apartment $110/night with a two-night minimum. Add $15 for a couple and a child in the double/twin room. For stays of 6+ nights, one night is free.

Maximum number of guests in guest rooms: 9
Horse boarding: $15/horse/night, no feed (ask about particulars).
Restrictions: No pets (see apartment information above). Smoking on the patios only, no smoking indoors or in the barns. Children 12+ welcome.
Deposit and Cancellation Policies: Pre-payment in full for one night's stay, or of 50% of the total for stays of 2 nights or more required at time of reservation. The balance is due to the host in cash or travelers checks upon arrival. At the time the reservation is confirmed, we charge a service fee of $10 for bookings.
Mi Casa Su Casa accepts personal and business checks, and major credit cards. Reservations may be held with a credit card number, pending receipt of a check, if this method of deposit is preferred.
For a refund of deposit, cancellation notice must be received 14 or more days prior to arrival date. All cancellations are subject to a $25 service charge. For stays during high season, holidays or special events, or for stays of a week or more, cancellation must be received 30 days prior to arrival date.
