In
north Scottsdale, near Pinnacle Peak and the town of Carefree is a
luxury 6,000 square foot Southwestern/Mediterranean house, which has
been featured in a variety of books and on PBS. A well-known
southwestern architect designed this contemporary adobe home like a
work of art with every line softly curved. No expense has been spared
with the main house and two 1,000 square foot guest cottages, which
are decorated with a blend of comfortable furnishings and artwork from
the Southwest, Mexico and Spain. A well kept lawn and palm trees
surround the swimming pool area. The swimming pool is for seasonal
swimming, and there is a large heated outdoor spa and private tennis
court. In pleasant weather, breakfast is served on El Portal, a lovely
covered patio area with a sofa, fireplace, and view of the pool area.
There is also a barbecue area, which has two barbecues, a table for
six, a refrigerator and counter. Ten golf courses are within eight
miles. Fine dining and shopping nearby.

AC. Guest casita 1, "Taos", has a living room-bedroom with
fireplace, cable TV and phone. There is a queen bed, bath with shower,
tub, bidet; complete kitchen with refrigerator, stove with oven, and
small dining area. Guest casita 2, "Barcelona", has a living
room-bedroom with fireplace, queen bed, large screen cable TV, stereo,
telephone, bath with shower, steam sauna, kitchen area with a
breakfast bar, small refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker. Two
mountain bikes are available.

Deposit
and Cancellation Policies: Pre-payment
of 50% of the total required at time of reservation. The balance is
due to the host in cash or travelers checks upon arrival. At the time
the reservation is confirmed, we charge a service fee of $10 for
bookings.

cards. Reservations may be held with a credit card number, pending
receipt of a check, if this method of deposit is preferred.
For
a refund of deposit, cancellation notice must be received 14 or more
days prior to arrival date. All cancellations are subject to a $25
service charge. For stays during high season, holidays or special
events, or for stays of a week or more, cancellation must be received
30 days prior to arrival date.
