This B&B is in the Chiricahua Mountains of southeastern Arizona, an area well known by birders. There are magnificent views of imposing mountains rising from the desert floor to an elevation of nearly ten thousand feet with some of the richest flora and fauna in North America. Cave Creek Canyon is one of the few places in the U.S. where the Elegant Trogon nests. Also, guests might see 330 other species of birds, which include 14 species of hummingbirds and 10 species of owls. The well-maintained historic guest house was built at the turn of the century and is in the tiny (twelve year-round residents) former mining town of Paradise, Arizona, surrounded by National Forest land.
