Located in the middle of the Sulphur Springs Valley, this B&B is a rustic 1930's style farmhouse situated on 40 acres. Southeastern Arizona is noted for bird watching. You can often watch, in season (from October to March) the Sandhill Cranes as they fly directly over the homestead. Sojourner's Homestead offers all of the creature comforts in a rustic style atmosphere. Guests are welcome to watch TV, see a movie, converse, or enjoy a fire in the living room fireplace. Area attractions include the White Water Draw which is located only two miles from the Homestead. Within a short drive are the historic towns of Bisbee, Tombstone, Douglas. Fruit orchards and Kartchner Caverns are also great day trips.
Location: Near Davis Road and Central Highway.
Amenities: The guestrooms are comfortable, providing evaporative cooling and ceiling fans in the summer, and forced hot air and in-room electric heaters in the winter.
The "Burgundy Room" has a queen bed, lace curtains, antique dresser, accent lighting, a bath en suite with a soaking tub and an observation deck adjacent to the room for viewing birds or just relaxing with your morning coffee.
The "Green Room" features a stained glass window and has a king or two twin beds, TV, a bath en suite that has a shower with multiple shower heads and an observation deck.
The "Garden Room" overlooks a courtyard and is a spacious open room, perfect for watching a spectacular sunset over the Mule Mountains. Summer vegetables are grown in the courtyard area.
Hosts' interests: Gardening, sewing, working with wood. (Many furniture pieces were created by the hostess).
Rates: S/$45, D/$60.
Breakfast: Full breakfast ordered from menu. Special diets accommodated.
Pets at Home: Domestic chickens which supply fresh eggs.
Maximum Number of Guests: 6
Restrictions: Smoking outside, no pets, well-behaved children welcome
Handicap possible: Guest rooms are located on one floor
Deposit/cancellation policy: Reservations may be held with a credit card number, pending receipt of a check. $20.00 deposit is required to hold each room. Please pay with a check or cash upon arrival.
For a refund of deposit, cancellation notice must be received 48 hours prior to arrival date.
Check-in: After 2:00-4:00 p.m. or as arranged. Please call if delayed.
Check-out: 11:00 a.m.
